Health is wealth, is a common saying. But health is not only the physical component, equally important is the mental health, which is often overlooked. Mental health is the basics of physical health and quality of life. Mental health is our psychological and emotional wellbeing. It is reflected in the way we think, feel or react to any phenomena. According to the definition given by WHO on mental well-being, it is the ability of an individual to realise his or her potential and can cope up with the normal stress of life, can work productively and contribute to his or her community.
Our mind is a beautiful servant, but a dangerous master. The sooner we realise the fact, better becomes our life. No matter who you are, what you do, where you belong to, you lose everything to your mind, unless you take care of it. Training the mind in the right way, at the right time, makes your life easier and productive.
3 years ago, I was in the worst phase of my life mentally. I was sinking under mental turbulence. I had everything, apparently, it was a beautiful life, but something was missing inside me. The enthusiasm, positivity, zeal for life was missing. And it becomes more helpless when you cannot make others understand what you are going through. That something wrong within me also taught me to fight against it. I knew something very bad is going within me. I cried I realised, I strived, ultimately I evolved, and I am a proud survivor now. So, this is my theme for the upcoming A-Z Blogging challenge, 2019. I will be dealing with all the ways out to get a healthy mindset and strengthen our mental health.
Mental illness can be of any form like depression, mental tiredness, anxiety, fear, excessive anger, mood swings, frustration, loss of enthusiasm etc. Anything negativity that runs in your mind and affects your daily life, can be called for mental care.
Uncared mental health leads to
• A decrease in productivity and effectiveness of life
• Effect on your physical health, as it decreases your immunity to diseases
• Effect on your behavioural patterns like sleeping manner, eating disorder etc
• Rotten relationships and many more
You are not clinically sick, but mental driven out. ( unless it is an extreme case) . It is as simple and curable as any other physical problems. A little, but a consistent effort from your side will make you a mentally fit person.
